Central Bank of India Clerks Recruitment 2010 – Central Bank of India one of the leading public sector banks in India has invited applications for post of 1163 clerks across all states in India to fuel its expansion plans. Central Bank of India Clerk Jobs 2010 : Bank has invited online applications for 1163 Clerk posts as per the notification the posts are mainly recruited in the regions of  Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar that contributes to 50% of the overall posts available. Candidates can apply online through the Bank’s website www.centralbankofindia.co.in after payment of fees between 9th Nov to 8th Dec 2010. No other payment mode is accepted by the bank accept online means.

Application Fee : Fee paid to the bank is non-refundable

(a) For SC/ST/XS/PC - Rs. 50/-
(b) For all others (including OBC) - Rs. 250/-

Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who are interested to apply for the 1163 Clerk cadre positions have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

  • Age of the Candidate as on 01.11.2010 should be of Minimum age – 18years and Maximum age –28years. Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
  • Degree in any Discipline (OR) 50% marks in 10+2 (OR) 60% marks in SSC/10th Std.
  • Candidates should be able to read, write and speak the native language of state for which he is applying for.
  • Certificate in computer course is essential for all the applicants and candidates who have not done their course can also complete after 6 months of joining.

Selection Process: Selection procedure for the recruitment of Central Bank of India Clerk Vacancies is through Written Exam and Interview. Candidates preparing for the exams have to keep in note that there is also Negative marking applicable. Applicants who score the highest in the test will only be called for personal interview.

a. Objective tests: 50 questions to be answered in 90 minutes which consists of  (i)Reasoning Ability (ii) Numerical Ability (iii) English Language Skills (iv) Clerical Aptitude.

b. Descriptive Test – It will consist of 5 compulsory questions with internal options, to assess knowledge on Socio-Economic Developments and Communication skills.

Central Bank of India Clerk Recruitment Notification - Candidates can refer to the notification for the break of number of posts available in each state, eligibility criteria etc.

a. Objective tests: The Objective tests consists of (i) Test of Reasoning Ability (ii) Test of English Language (iii) Test of Numerical Ability (iv) Test of Clerical Aptitude. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the objective test. The candidates shall be required to qualify in the objective test separately. Test of English is qualifying and carries no Weight age in the total marks for the written test. The time duration will be 95 minutes and each Test will be of 50 Questions.

b. Descriptive Test- It will consist of 5 compulsory questions with internal options, to assess knowledge on Socio-Economic Developments and Communication skills. The descriptive test is only a qualifying test.
