Indian Overseas Bank – PO Recruitment 2011 – Indian Overseas Bank also known as IOB is established in the year of 1969 and has rapidly expanded across India. Currently the bank operates over 2000 branches in India and other countries with a network of over 600 ATMs. Indian Overseas bank has announced the recruitment of 1000 PO posts for the year 2011 to support its expansion plans.

Indian Overseas Bank PO Vacancies Recruitment 2011: Bank has invited online applications for 1000 PO posts across India and Candidates who are interested to apply for IOB PO Vacancies 2011 can make use of the below information to apply for the posts.

Online Registration Starts from : 08-02-2011
Online Registration Close Date : 01-03-2011
Written Examination Date (Tentative) : 22.05.2011

Candidates can apply online through the Bank’s website http://www.iob.in/ after payment of fees between 08-02-2011 and 01-03-2011. Candidates can also apply through any of the IOB branches across India.

Application Fees : Fee paid to the bank is non-refundable
(a) For SC/ST/XS/PWD candidates – Rs. 50/-
(b) For all others (including OBC) – Rs. 400/-

Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who are interested to apply for the 1000 PO cadre positions have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

* A Graduate Degree with minimum 60% marks (55% for Reserved Category candidates).
* Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF).
* Certificate in computer course is necessary for all the applicants or candidates who have done computers as part of their curriculum in UG/PG level.

Selection Process: Selection procedure for the recruitment of Indian Overseas Bank PO Vacancies is through Written Exam and Interview. Written exam comprises both Objective & Descriptive questions and negative mark of 0.25 will be awarded for each wrong answer. Applicants who score the highest in the test will only be called for personal interview.
