Oriental Bank of Commerce 1105 Clerk Posts Recruitment 2010: Bank has invited online applications for 1105 posts, candidates who are interested to apply can make use of the following information regarding the notification.

Online Registration Starts from : 25.10.2010 (24 hours open)
Online Registration Close Date : 24.11.2010
Written Examination Date (Tentative) : 09.01.2011
Candidates can apply online through the Bank’s website www.obcindia.co.in after payment of fees between 25.10.2010 and 24.11.2010. Candidates can also apply through any of the Oriental Bank of Commerce Branches across India.
Application Fee : Fee paid to the bank is non-refundable
(a) For SC/ST/XS/PWD candidates - Rs. 50/- (For postage)
(b) For all others (including OBC) - Rs. 300/-
Requisite Application Fee may be paid at any of the branch of the Oriental Bank of Commerce only in Current A/c No. 00071011002147 from 25.10.2010 to 24.11.2010
Oriental Bank of Commerce 1105 Clerk Posts 2010 Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who are interested to apply for the 1105 clerical cadre positions have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria set by Oriental Bank of Commerce.
- Education Qualification(as on 01.10.2010) – Candidates need to have a Degree in any discipline or its equivalent with any class/division (OR) 10+2 examination or its equivalent with minimum 50%. Note: Relaxation for SC/ST/XS/PWD Candidates is – 10+2 pass.
- Candidates should know to read, write and speak the language of the State for which they are applying.
- Age of the Candidate as on 01.10.2010 should be of Minimum age – 18 years and Maximum age –28 years i.e. Born between 01/10/1982 and 30/09/1992 (both days inclusive). Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
- Certificate in computer course is necessary for all the applicants. Candidates who have not done the computer course before joining can also submit within 6 months of joining.
Note: Reservation for Ex-Servicemen and Disabled persons is applicable for this recruitment.
Selection Process: Selection procedure for the recruitment of Oriental Bank of Commerce 1105 clerk posts is through Written Exam and Interview. Written exam will have Objective type and Descriptive type sections and will have 203 questions with a time frame of 140 minutues.
Exam Minimum Score : Candidates have to score atleast 40% out of the test to clear the exam keeping in note that there is also Negative marking applicable. Applicants who score the highest in the test will be called for personal interview.
