Oriental Bank of Commerce PO Exam pattern, OBC Exam Notification , OBC Online Registration

Oriental Bank of Commerce conducts the Probationary Officer exam 2009 for the eligible candidates to be recruited as Probationary Officer. OBC PO test is conducted in 2 stages namely written test and descriptive test. The written test consists of sections like general awareness, quantitative aptitude, English and reasoning. The descriptive test consists of 4 questions. The candidates selected in written test are eligible for descriptive test.

The medium of instruction for the PO exam is both English and Hindi. The candidates have to apply online for registration of OBC PO Exams. The registration process starts from the mid of October and ends in 1st week of November.

The candidate applying for probationary officer in oriental bank of commerce must be 21-30 yrs of age. The candidate must be proficient in computer knowledge. The candidate should have secured 60% in degree from recognized university in any discipline

The two tests in OBC PO written exam are:

1   Objective Test

2   Descriptive Test

Objective Test Pattern of OBC PO exam:

It has 220 questions which has to be answered in 135minutes.The sections within it are:

• general awareness
• Test in English
• Quantitative aptitude
• Reasoning

The General Awareness section consists of 50 questions, Test in English section consists of 50 questions, Quantitative Aptitude which consists of 50 questions and Reasoning   which consists of 75 questions.

The medium of instruction for OBC exam will be both English and Hindi.

The minimum passing marks for general category candidates is 40% and for reserved category is 35% in each of the tests..

Descriptive Test Pattern of OBC PO exam:

It has four(4) questions out of which any three questions has to be attempted in 45 mins.The total marks for this  descriptive test is 60 which means that each question carries 20 marks(3*20=60).

The minimum passing marks for general category candidates is  40% and for reserved category  is 35% in each of the tests.
