UCO Bank 1050 Probationary Officers Recruitment 2010 – Apply Online

UCO Bank head quartered in Kolkata was started in 1943 as a commercial bank and then has expanded its presence across India with over 2000 branch network. The bank has now announced recruitment to fill 1050 probationary officer posts across India to further extend its expansion plans.

UCO Bank 1050 PO Recruitment 2010 –  Bank has invited online applications for 1050 PO posts  with a payscale for these posts is in the range of Rs. 14500 to Rs.25700. Note: Candidates can apply online through the Bank’s website www.ucobank.com after payment of fees between 9th Nov to 30th Nov 2010. Bank has mandated that it will accept only online applications and no other mode of sending applications is accepted.

Application Fee : Fee paid to the bank is non-refundable

(a) For SC/ST/XS/PC - Rs. 50/-
(b) For all others (including OBC) - Rs. 400/-

Eligibility Criteria : Candidates who are interested to apply for the 1050 PO positions have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

• Age of the Candidate as on 30.11.2010 should be of Minimum age – 21years and Maximum age –30. Relaxation is applicable for SC/ST candidates.
• As on 30.11.2010, should hold a Degree from any recognised university with an aggregate of 55% marks.
• Computer Operations knowledge is required.

Selection Process: Selection procedure for the recruitment of UCO Bank PO jobs is through Written Exam and Interview. Candidates preparing for the exams have to keep in note that there is also Negative marking applicable. Applicants who score the highest in the test will only be called for personal interview.

a. Objective tests: 225 questions to be answered in 135 minutes which consists of  (i)Reasoning (ii) General Awareness & Computers (iii) English Language Skills (iv) Quantitative Aptitude.

b. Descriptive Test – It will consist of 5 compulsory questions with internal options, to assess knowledge on Socio-Economic Developments and Communication skills.
