Banks should furnish Loan copy Agreement

According to the Guidelines on Fair Practices Code for Lenders by the Reserve Bank of India, Banks/Financial Institutions were advised that a copy of the loan agreement along with a copy each of all enclosures quoted in the loan agreement should be furnished to the borrower.

Govt to buy RBI stake in NABARD, NHB by June

The Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram has said the Government will buy RBI’s stake in NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development), and the NHB (National Housing Bank) by June.The FM plans to bring the Net NPA of State-run banks below 1% in FY08, the report by tv18.

RBI to Pay Govt $11.3 Billion as Dividend

The Reserve Bank of India said on Thursday it will pay the government a dividend of Rs 457.2 billion for its 2006/07 fiscal year, higher than the previous year’s Rs 84.04 billion payment.

Indians can Deposit up to $100000 in Foreign Banks

As part of efforts to flush out excess foreign capital, Reserve Bank has allowed resident Indians to open accounts in banks outside the country and transfer up to 100,000 dollars (about Rs 41 lakh) a year in them without its approval.
