Sanjeev you should be registered with HSBC India to make credit card payments, or else you can call HSBC India helpline numbers mentioned above and check with them.

I had submitted all my documents for a credit card on may 3, 08 to a sales excecutive- Megha. I received a verification call on May 5, 08. When I am checking my application status on internet and with customer care, it states that my application has not reached the bank. Then how did I receive a verification call? This is something strange.

I had applied for HSBC Bank Credit Card about a month back. Verification call was made to me twice regarding this.
However, you customer care executive came at office for delivering the Credit card but unfortunately I was not in office on that day.
I called CC and they responded that your card has been canceled .I don’t know what was reason. Suppose that I am not in office on that day that means you will cancel my Card.?
Today (18th sep) I received HSBC confidential PIN number .Can you tell if my card has been cancelled then why you sent this confidential pin number?

I have recieved credit card by last july 2008 and at the time of issuing the card, bank sales executive told me that card is life time free card but now bank has charged 1158/rs. i need reply for this issue or let me know i wil take this matter to ombudsman for justice.

This is for the information that i was holding a credit card of your bank from the period august 2005 to july 2006. after that i discontinued the card services with the bank. I did not recieve any calls from your bank regarding your card or its out standing dues. on 06/07/09 i recieved a call from your bank that my outstanding against the card is 150000. which is being settled for thirty thousand. i was out of station when i recieved this call , on 11/07/09 a person called nilanjan karmakar visted my residence with a settlement letter for thirty thousand and told me to make a immediate payment on my refusal to do so he gave me a time of 12pm on 13/07/09. to make the payment. I fail to understand on what basis the bank is asking for this amount. till such time the complete detailsof the transactions are given to me i am not going to make a payment. Before making any committment i would like to the all the statements and details of all the charges.
In between if any kind of calls or visits to my residence is done to pressurize me for any kind of payment then i shall be forced to take appropriate legal steps in proper forum.

My Credit Card was expired in 04/2007. I never applied for a renewal and distroyed the card in 2007. Surprisingly now I am getting sms ‘ your card ending with 9387 has been generated and for jul and the balance payable is Rs.993/-‘. Recent sms is your card ending with 8822 is generated and the balance is Rs.1088/-. My card expired two years back and I never applied for the renewal. Pl explain how this renewal & the balance due.

This is to bring to your notice that I Syed Tajjuddin was a customer of your bank having credit card number: 4476921208401830 have stopped using your credit card from 15 December 2005 closed the card and cleared all the dues pending on my credit card account. After this I started receiving statement stating 1487cr balance in my card account, when I inquired with HSBC bank customer care about the matter they clarified that it is a credit balance showing on your account and will be refunded to you. The balance did not reached instead the statement kept on coming; several reminders to the customer care for closing the account had fallen in deaf ears.

I had applied for a personal loan with HDFC bank on dated 12/7/09 and it declined. They gave me a control number and said to contact CIBIL.On contacting them to my utmost surprise I had received a reply mail stating that I was a defaulter with HSBC bank and the bank has notified the CIBIL about my status on 28 Feb 2009. How can this be possible when there was a credit balance showing in my account and several of your statement is a prove of that.

On getting the status of CIBIL on 15/7/09 I once again called up the customer care who said the same verbatim which earlier his colleagues have said that there is a credit balance on your account. On inquiring about why they have notified my name in CIBIL the customer care executive could not provide me with an appropriate answer. When I said that I wanted to speak to the manager regarding this, he put me on hold and never got back I waited patiently for half an hour holding the pone and then disconnected it.

On the next day I decided to go to the bank head office which is at 31, BBD Bagh Kolkata-01, and seek clarification, I was shuttled from one place to another and then finally I met Gulshan Singh who looking at my case could not give me satisfactory answer that why my name has been included in defaulter list when I had a credit balance in my card account. On exchanging heated argument with him he told me to send a mail and he will look in to the matter. Not getting a proper reply I wanted to meet the branch manager for clarification but to my vain the BM was not available, they directed me to Asst branch manager who also told me the same story that give me in writing and they I will see what can be done.

Is this the way bank teats its customers. Let me know what is my fault and why am I harassed for no fault of mine. Is this the state of service of such a repute bank which is looked upon? It gives a very sorry picture and leaves a bad taste in mouth.

I would like to have a clarification from the bank that why my name was sent to CIBIL, why the bank did not contact me before doing so. And also let me know that when my name will be cleared from CIBIL and my money refunded with interest.

Looking for a response from the bank at the earliest.

This is to bring to your notice that I Naman Jain was a customer of your bank having credit card number: 0131. I paid my credit bill amount through dropping a check at my nearest HSBC bank. However after a month ago when i checked my statement, it says that my amount was not cleared and also it has an added amount of late payment charges and some interest. i called to customer care and descibed the whole case. they assured me that they will enquire the system for it, later on i got a call and the person from HSBC said, due to some machine problem my check was dispossed off and i need to pay it again. now whos fault is this and why the heck i need to pay an extra amount of money for this. i cleared whole condition to customer care executive but no one had done the job. now again my statement has due amount with some RS 2000 of late paymemt charges on just RS2700 of amount. How it could be possible that you are taking more than 25% of interest per month, that means some 300 % per year of interest……please explain me all these things…….

This is to bring to your notice that I Pankaj Anand was a customer of your bank having credit card number: last four digits 0684 have stopped using your credit card from 1 September 2008 because the card expiry date was in September and cleared all the dues pending on my credit card account on last bill payment on 04 Nov 2008. After this I also called HSBC credit card department that I do not need your services any more and the executive said to me if your card is expired then no need to do anything more. and several reminders to the customer care for closing the account had fallen in deaf ears.
suddenly after 8 month i recieved call from HSBC bank that I have such and such dues.(some principal amount of 4K)
Can you explain me when your credit Card is expired and last full payment is done after 2 months after expired date of card ; how any amount can be credited ???

On inquiring about why they have this inappropriate amount is billed in that credit card; the customer care executive could not provide me with an appropriate answer. Is this the way your bank treats its customers. Let me know the clear thing and OK it is my fault that I Opted for your bank’s credit card service . Is this the state of service of such a repute bank which is looked upon? It gives a very sorry picture and leaves a bad taste in mouth.
